Dr. William Khieu received his Bachelor of Science Degree with High Honors from the University of California Davis. He received his Medical Degree from the University of California San Francisco and completed his OB/GYN Residency at the University of California San Francisco-Fresno Program.
Dr. Khieu’s special clinical interests are advanced laparoendoscopic surgery, and pelvic floor reconstruction, urogynecology and full scope of High Risk Obstetrics. Dr. Khieu is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He held a teaching appointment with UC San Francisco School of Medicine and was honored with the Teacher of the Year by Natividad’s Family Practice residents. He has served as Expert Reviewer for the California Medical Board since 2001. He has been consultant reviewer for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS). He has been elected multiple times as President of the Monterey County Medical Society.
More recently, he was honored with a Distinguished Service Award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists's Outstanding District Service Achievement Award.
He is the first certified Da Vinci Robotic Surgeon in the Monterey County. He is the most experienced Da Vinci Robotic Surgeon in the Central Coast. His expertise lends him the position of Proctor Surgeon, those who has exemplified the highest quality of a Robotic Surgeon. He carries the authority to judge other surgeons of their surgical skill with Da Vinci Robotic System.
